Altercation Results in Head Wounds and Charges Against Woman

|

Nebraska residents who find themselves arrested and charged with criminal activity may often not know what to do or where to get help. The circumstances surrounding incidents and arrests may also make the facts hard to completely identify.

Such is the case for one Nebraska woman who has been arrested for multiple offenses after her alleged role in an altercation with a teenage male. Reports indicate that the woman hit the teen with a bottle, causing him injuries to his head. However, it is not the teen who reported the incident but rather his guardian. The guardian also arranged for the teen to receive medical care for his head wounds at a hospital.

Sources suggest that the teen had been with the woman and some other people and when he indicated his desire to leave and go home, an argument broke out although it is unclear exactly what the argument was about The teen was apparently concerned with getting home on time for a probation curfew. The woman who is said to have assaulted him was later found to have a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit. She now faces misdemeanor charges for a minor in possession and felony charges for second-degree assault. It is unknown what penalties may be associated with those charges. Also unknown is what the boy's BAC may have been at the time.

After an arrest, Nebraska residents might find it beneficial to talk with an attorney to learn about the criminal defense process and what their options are.
